Neem oil insecticide recipe


Neem Oil insecticide is easily available in market.The price range varies from 50 USD to 100 USD.But if you read the box carefully,you will find that it contains very less amount of neem oil.You can easily prepare the formulated neem oil insecticide from raw oil in your home at much lesser cost using our recipe.




You need following items to prepare it in home :


  1. Marked container
  2. Sprayer
  3. Warm water
  4. Raw Neem Oil
  5. Liquid Soap




Neem Oil is non soluable in water.Liquid Soap or any other emulsifier helps it to dissolve in water.


Pour one gallon of warm water in your marked container.Add one spoon of liquid soap to the water.Stir it well.After that add 4 spoons of neem oil into it.Stir it well to dissolve neem oil in water.Stir it well.After some time you will notice that a pale yellow color emulsion is formed.Your formulated insecticide is ready.Pour the insecticide in bucket and spray on your plants.


Do not mix more than one spoonful of soap.If you add more than one spoon of soap,the neem oil spray will cause burns to your plant leaves.


Buy only 100% pure neem oil.Please make sure that the oil is cold pressed.If heat or solvents were used to extract it from neem seed,it will destroy the Azadirachtin.Azadirachtin is most important component of neem oil.
